What Happened to STOFF?

Why have I gathered all the best fanart together? Isn't that stealing?

Taiora fanart, artist yet unknown

Maybe. This is my reasoning. There are hundreds of thousands of artists on deviantart. There are millions of fanarts on free-hosted websites. How many of these fine artworks are actually seen? Somebody's best work may never be displayed because their website is not listed at the top of a web search. Most people have seen the first few listings in Google, but how many people have seen number 73? Or number 128? It's also difficult for fans to find these pictures to use in slideshows. Digimon is something that will live on forever because of the enthusiam of fans like us. Unfortunately, when the webhost pulls the plug on the site, or the artist loses intrest in Digimon, these drawings are lost. Some sites like the once popular Konami's Digimon Art or Reunion are gone. If we don't share our work with one another, it becomes difficult to tell how popular this phenomenon really is, and the Digimon franchise will fade away. That is why it is important to come together and share youtube videos, fanart, fanfics etc.

As honorable as I think the whole "no stealing fanart" and "STOFF" concept is, it won't truly help the spirit of Digimon. If your fanart is here, I want to make it clear: I don't mean to steal. We're all after the same thing; we're all fans of (one of) the greatest shows on the planet. We're Digimon fans. Why can't we come together? I wanted to pull all the fanart together so it could be here so it can be seen and enjoyed by fans.

But most importantly, I asked most of these artists for their permission to use these pictures before I put them up. I will admit that some of these pictures were gathered from the far corners of the internet. The picture on the left is an example of that. I have seen this picture on countless videos and websites. By this time, the artist is the only person who knows where that picture came from. The only pictures that I did not ask permission for are the ones I found in MSN photo albums or on somebody else's webpage under "Favorite Pictures."

If anyone can help me locate and obtain permission from artists, if any artists would like to contribute to the Digiworld Online Gallery (with credit, of course), CONTACT US! digiworldonline@rocketmail.com
